FRESH START CHRISTIAN CHURCH is a non-denominational church where we believe in the saving grace available through the death and resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. No matter who you are or what you've done, a fresh start is available to you.

The ministry is based on the Word of God and its practical application to daily life. Fresh Start offers teaching that transcends the Sunday worship hour. The teachings address the personal, emotional and financial issues which often prevent a total commitment to Jesus Christ and a Christian lifestyle.
OUR PASTOR. God founded Fresh Start via Rev. James L. Henley, Jr. Pastor Henley is a Jackson native who is a graduate of Callaway High School, Millsaps College, and Mississippi College School of Law. He has attended various seminary classes at Wesley Seminary and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
THE START. Full-time services started the first Sunday in November 2004. Since that time, God has continued to bless us. We moved into our second location in December 2004. In December 2005, God blessed us with the location at 5240 Manhattan Road. We held our worship services at the 5240 Manhattan from Christmas morning 2005 through October 2007. In November 2007, we began worshiping at our new 5210 Manhattan Road site. God blessed us with the acquisition of the former Manhattan/Northside YMCA property. In addition to a greatly expanded worship area, God blessed us with a gym, playground equipment and over six acres of land to utilize in the building of His kingdom.
SUMMER BREAK. We conducted our first "Summer Break" during Summer 2005. Summer Break is a program where we allow parents who can't afford child care to drop off their children each Wednesday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. We focused on religious education during the morning via different activities. The afternoon is for fun. We concluded this summer's program with a carnival where the kids won prizes by correctly answering Bible questions based on the summer lessons. The last day of the program consisted of a trip to Six Flags in New Orleans. Summer Break 2006 - 2009 were held for 8 weeks on either Tuesday and/or Wednesday or Thursday! Thanks to all of you who have who supported us both financially and spiritually. The program changes each year based on the needs of the community. Join us and see what this Summer Break brings.
ENVIRONMENT. We provide a spiritual environment that encourages and nurtures personal relationships between God and his people. God's Word is taught, seekers find Christ and believers mature in him to reach the abundant life God intends. Dress style is not restricted. COME AS YOU ARE!!!
